About Me

Hello, I'm Junichiro.

From the age of 19, I spent four years in Tokyo studying acting. During that time, I also began posting on TikTok and received support from people around the world, which eventually inspired me to become a Japanese tutor. Since beginning this work in early 2025, I have had the pleasure of teaching students from many different parts of the world.

“Junichiro’s lessons are incredible to put it simply. The lessons are well guided, well structured and entertaining! Junichiro himself is passionate about teaching and offers the utmost support for his students. I have felt respected and encouraged in my language learning journey and even when I have made mistakes I am still shown patience and kindness. I cannot recommend him or his lessons enough, and no words are able to fully express my gratitude towards him. I fully recommend his lessons, you are certain to learn a lot!”

“I have been taking lessons with Junichiro for about a year, and I have found his teaching style very helpful. He is attentive to students’ needs and is willing to answer questions, providing clear explanations when something is difficult to understand. He also creates a comfortable learning environment. Compared to last year, I feel that my Japanese has improved a lot. My lessons have been intermittent, but they have been much more effective for me than self-studying alone.”

Flexible lessons that fit a busy weekly schedule.

Flexible, engaging N3 support with personal pacing · USA

“I cannot recommend Juni-san's personal Japanese tutoring highly enough, especially for anyone juggling a busy schedule. The flexibility has been a total game-changer; being able to fit high-quality instruction into my week without feeling overwhelmed has kept my momentum consistent. Unlike more rigid programs, the pacing here is tailored to my personal progress, allowing me to dive deeper into complex language concepts and progress once I’ve mastered a topic.

The lessons are incredibly engaging, moving far beyond standard textbook drills. I am currently studying for the N3, and Juni-san has been instrumental in navigating the jump in difficulty. What sets this experience apart is how the lessons are specifically tailored to address common pitfalls where students may have struggled in the past. This proactive approach to teaching has helped me iron out bad habits and Juni-san's patience in clarifying confusing grammar points has prevented them from becoming obstacles.

I would also say that Juni-san's personal touch is intermittently focusing on Japanese language cultural nuances and frequently giving me opportunities to improve my listening comprehension. This has given me a level of confidence I simply didn’t have before. If you’re serious about passing the proficiency exam while actually enjoying the process, Juni-san's lessons are an invaluable resource.”

“I have been taking private Japanese lessons with Junichiro for almost three months now, and my motivation is still as strong as day one. His lessons are genuinely enjoyable and always fly by far too quickly. He is extremely professional, well-prepared, and has excellent teaching materials, but what I appreciate most is that he does not follow a rigid, overly academic approach. Junichiro adapts his lessons to my needs, my goals, and even my personal interests, including anime references, which makes learning both engaging and meaningful. More importantly, he helps me understand real, spoken Japanese, not just the textbook version. Through his teaching, I am also learning a great deal about Japanese culture, traditions, and ways of thinking, which makes the experience even more fascinating. I highly recommend Junichiro. He is a serious, dedicated, and professional teacher, while also being friendly, fun, and a pleasure to learn with!”

“I feel more confident speaking Japanese in my everyday life and much less stressed.”

Advanced N2 learner building real-life speaking confidence · Russia

“I already had N2 level when I started lessons with teacher Junichiro. At that time, I had already been living in Japan for two years, but I still could not speak properly, so I decided to take lessons simply to improve my speaking skills.

At first, it was very challenging, and I struggled to make even simple sentences, maybe because of a huge language barrier. But teacher Junichiro is very understanding and always tries to make every lesson comfortable for his students.

Step by step, I became less nervous with each lesson. Feeling comfortable is very important when speaking another language, which is why I especially appreciate all his efforts to handle situations when I could not say a word.

Thanks to teacher Junichiro, I feel more confident speaking Japanese in my everyday life and much less stressed. He also provides a lot of information about slang and cultural nuances, which is crucial for me as a resident of Japan.

I’m very grateful and happy that I chose teacher Junichiro!”

Teaching Approach

Practical, Personal Lessons

A calm 1-on-1 space to speak, ask questions, and study Japanese at your current level. Lessons can be structured, flexible, or somewhere in between depending on what helps you continue.

What a Lesson Looks Like

Most lessons follow a comfortable rhythm: a short warm-up, quick review, one clear focus for the day, practice together, and a simple recap at the end.

  • Warm up with questions or simple conversation
  • Practice through examples, speaking, and corrections
  • Leave with review points that fit your routine

Lessons for Your Level

Beginners can use more English support and build the basics step by step. Intermediate and advanced learners can focus more on nuance, discussion, listening, and natural phrasing.

  • Complete beginner to advanced learners
  • Support for students who have passed N1
  • Mostly Japanese lessons when you are ready

Real Japanese, Beyond the Textbook

Alongside grammar and vocabulary, you can learn how Japanese is actually phrased in real situations, including small differences in tone, context, and culture. When useful, topics from daily life or media can become a natural way into the language.

Between Lessons

Homework is optional and never forced. When useful, I can suggest review points or light practice. A student-only Instagram group also helps you stay connected with Japanese between lessons.

  • Optional homework and review suggestions
  • Short reminders, examples, and cultural notes
  • Light support without unnecessary pressure
"Someday, I want to talk with you about anime, manga, TV shows, YouTube, and culture in Japanese. Even small pieces of Japanese media and culture can become more interesting when you understand the language behind them."
Your pace, your interests

A steady place to practice, ask questions, and turn the Japanese you understand into Japanese you can actually use.

Good to Know Before Booking

Lessons are held online via Google Meet. Plans are prepaid monthly and begin with a minimum of one lesson per week. Homework is optional, and I can suggest review points when useful. If you are unsure about your level, schedule, or goals, you can ask before booking.

Simple Booking Process

From Inquiry to Your First Lesson

Use the official website form, and I will reply personally after the availability and eligibility review. Students aged 16 or 17 complete a separate guardian-confirmation step first. There is no trial lesson or free consultation.

Send Your Preferences

Tell me your age group, level, goal, time zone, preferred plan, and 2–3 possible recurring weekday lesson times through the website form.

Complete the Review

I will check eligibility and availability. For a student aged 16 or 17, the student receipt contains a private link to enter the guardian email; the guardian then receives the policies and a private decision page.

Agree and Pay

After the review, the appropriate student or guardian separately confirms the proposed schedule, plan, fees, and current policies. Only then will I send the Wise payment details.

Meet Online

You will receive the Google Meet details by email or our agreed contact channel. Instagram is usually the easiest way to keep in casual contact between lessons.

Your first four weeks

Complete beginners usually build hiragana and katakana slowly and carefully, with greetings, self-introductions, and simple conversation added at a comfortable pace. Your exact lesson content is adjusted to your progress and goals.

Lesson Inquiry Form

Tell Me About Your Schedule

This is the official lesson inquiry form. It sends your inquiry to my business email and keeps a private record in my Google Workspace account. If the student is 16 or 17, the student must first use their own personal email; the receipt then provides a private link for entering the guardian email. The guardian receives the policies and a separate private agree-or-decline page. This is an eligibility and safeguarding review, not a binding legal determination. The final lesson agreement comes later, before payment. Please do not include your exact home address, ID documents, passwords, or payment information.

For a student aged 16 or 17, use the student's own personal email. A private guardian-email link will be sent there.
Reaching age 18 does not necessarily establish independent contractual capacity under every law that may apply.
Used with the age and general region to assess eligibility and any guardian requirements.
Region only—do not send your street address.
Please write the day, time, and whether each time is in your local time or JST.

The public site shows only this initial inquiry form. Any required guardian step is sent privately by email. The business email below is available for technical problems or an existing inquiry.
